Classveew creates each day's attendance sheet for every classroom, lets teachers check students in and out on the web or in the app, and marks anyone still unmarked as absent at your cut-off time. Parents are notified the moment their child arrives, leaves or is marked absent.

Choose your school days and the start, end and cut-off times for each weekday, then add your holidays.

Attendance questions
Can teachers take attendance on their phone?
Yes. In the Classveew app for iOS and Android, teachers check students in and out one by one or select the whole class at once, for today and the two days before. On the web portal, attendance can be marked for any past date, including absent and leave.
Are parents told when their child is absent?
Yes. Parents get an app notification when their child checks in, checks out, arrives late, leaves early or is marked absent, whether a teacher marked it or it happened automatically at the cut-off time. Notifications are sent in the parent's chosen language and kept in the app's notification list.
Can Classveew mark absences automatically?
Yes. You set a cut-off time for each weekday. Students who are still unmarked at the cut-off are marked absent and their parents are notified. Twenty minutes before the cut-off, the class teacher gets a reminder if anyone is still unmarked.
How do parents report that their child will be away?
Parents send a leave request in the Classveew app with the dates, a type (medical, personal, vacation or other) and a reason. They can edit or cancel it later, and those days show as On leave on the attendance sheet.
Does Classveew track staff attendance too?
Yes. Teachers check in and out in the Classveew app, and the admin can require them to be within a set distance of the school. Teachers can ask for a correction, which an admin approves or rejects. Staff leave covers leave types with yearly allowances, half days, attachments and admin approval.
Do holidays and weekends count as absences?
No. Attendance sheets are created only on the school days you set. Public, mercantile and school holidays and the breaks between terms are skipped, so nobody is marked absent on those days.
Can I export attendance reports?
Yes. The student attendance report exports to CSV for a date range and classroom, with each day’s status, check-in and check-out times, late and early check-out flags and leave reasons. The admin dashboard also shows present, absent, leave and pending counts as a chart.
