Events and payments

School event management with consent and payments

Classveew replaces paper permission slips and cash envelopes. Post an event to the whole school or chosen classes, let parents accept or decline for each child in the app, and collect payment for trips and paid events at the same time.

Staff create events on the web. Parents reply and pay in the Classveew app on iOS and Android.

Paid events, without the cash envelopes

Trips and paid events usually mean a permission slip, a cash envelope and a list to check. In Classveew, consent and payment happen together.

  • Pick an event fee and the date its invoice is issued. Every child invited gets one.
  • Parents accept and pay by card from the invoice screen in the Classveew app.
  • If a parent declines, that invoice is cancelled straight away.
  • If they change their mind and accept again, the invoice comes back.
  • Event invoices work like any other school fee invoice in Classveew.

Everything you need to run school events

From the first announcement to the last reply, with consent and payment in one place.

Four kinds of event

Announcements, surveys, meetings and paid events, each with a description, dates and images.

The right families

Send an event to the whole school or to the classrooms you choose, with an optional push notification.

Consent in the app

Parents accept or decline for each child before the deadline, and can change their answer until then.

See who is coming

Filter replies by joining, declined and pending, search by student, and see each student's replies on their profile.

Reminders

Send a reminder to the parents who have not replied, and see a summary of who was reached.

Paid events

Each child gets an invoice parents pay in the app. Declining cancels it; accepting again brings it back.

School calendar

A month and week calendar on the web portal. Staff also see public, mercantile and school holidays and term breaks.

Staff meetings

Set a meeting date and time and invite staff members, who get a push notification.

Events and payments questions

What kinds of events can we create?

Four: announcements, surveys (a yes or no question to parents), meetings and paid events such as trips. Each has a name, description, dates, images and an optional reply deadline.

Who receives an event?

The whole school or the classrooms you choose. If you tick "notify parents", they get a push notification in the Classveew app as soon as you post it.

How do parents give consent?

In the Classveew app, parents accept or decline for each of their children before the deadline. They can change their answer until the deadline, unless they have already paid for a paid event.

How do paid events work?

Choose an event fee and the date its invoice should be issued. Each child gets an invoice, which parents pay from the invoice screen in the app. If a parent declines, that invoice is cancelled; if they accept again, it comes back. Paid events are available on our top plan.

Can we remind parents who have not replied?

Yes. Staff pick the students and send a reminder as a push notification, and see a summary of who was reached. Each event shows who is joining, who declined and who has not replied yet.

Is there a school calendar?

Yes. The web portal has a month and week calendar of events for staff and parents. The staff calendar also shows public, mercantile and school holidays and term breaks.

Can staff be invited to meetings?

Yes. A meeting has a date and time, and you can invite staff members, who get a push notification.
